Classic Dark Chocolate Walnut Brownies

Classic Dark Chocolate Walnut Brownies for your intense chocolate cravings!!

Ahena’s birthday is just three days away and her excitement level is on the roof. She had been planning since quite some time now. We are having a sleep over party for her, few of her classmates and neighborhood friends and I am already freaking out at the thought of having so many kids over. I tell you a kids birthday is no joke. Invitations have been handed over, menu planned, cake decided, desserts planned. The party does not get over here I have to plan a luxurious breakfast as well. I have too much work to do and so less time.

I need chocolate in life right now, glad I had some brownies with me.

Life is so good with brownies.

Yes, I am crazy for brownies. Every single day you give me brownies and I’m more than happy, you will not believe I bake them almost every week but never get bored of it. And these Classic Dark Chocolate Walnut brownies are so full of chocolate with my favorite walnuts studded throughout. These are rich, fudgy in the centre with a perfect crackling top.

So today we made these brownies for the fourth time in last 15 days and everytime they come out just so good. These days A & A are tracked out for three weeks and this time we baked together, it was so much fun with little hands working with me. Arnav is a complete brownie junkie and so it was very difficult to keep his little hands away while taking pictures. Brownie are just so difficult to resist and we love to eat them while they are slightly warm. A & A love them with more chocolate sauce on them.

These brownies are way to simple to make and practically need one bowl to whip them up. Brownies are the simplest yet delicious dessert and the best part about them are no pile up of so many bowls to be washed later. You can store them in air tight container at room temperature for about 3 -4 days but I bet they will not last that long.

These are the best brownie I’ve ever eaten and all made from scatch. Fudgy as the brownies are suppose to be with perfect crackle on the top, whole loads of chocolate, those walnuts make them truly classic. The best part about brownies they are ready in less than an hour. And when eaten warm you cannot simply stop.

Brownies to me are pure form of love and you need no fancy ingredients.

Ingredients are simple here….good quality dark chocolate, butter, sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, flour, chocolate chips and walnuts. Walnuts are optional but chocolate and walnut together are a match made in heaven. Walnuts are my favorite nuts I use in desserts, they are so delicious and I love the crunch.

The secret to great brownies is the baking time. 1 – 2 minute under baking is still acceptable. Please, please never over bake them, you will end up in dry brownies. I am sure you don’t want that.

XoXo,

K

  8. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 27 – 28 minutes or until the cake tester comes out with few moist crumbs.

  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes over the wire rack.

Brownies are done when there are few moist crumbs.

Don’t be tempted to over bake else you will get dry brownies.
